Good bright medium red. Ethereal aromas of crushed stone, raspberry, red cherry and flowers, plus a touch of smoky minerality. Sweet, sappy and fine-grained, especially for a wine from fruit picked at 12.1% potential alcohol and chaptalized to 12.7%. Boasts wonderful energy and density, not to mention purity of flavor. The long, mineral-driven, saliva-inducing finish offers grip without hardness.
